BOOM: The Box Office Numbers Do Not Lie

Let us look at the raw data. The market speaks through money spent. Bollywood has a new champion this week, and the results are crystal clear.

Indra Kumar brought back his slapstick goldmine. Dhamaal 4 hit the theatres on Friday, July 10, 2026. The crowds went wild. Nostalgia sells, but only if you deliver the good stuff.

The Breakdown: Day by Day

Let us review the domestic execution. The initial launch phase was massive.

  • Day 1 (Friday): The film opened with a strong net collection of Rs 14.00 crore. Total shows tracked reached 10,669. Theater occupancy started steady at 24%.

  • Day 2 (Saturday): Momentum exploded. The numbers grew by 60.7%. The team pulled in Rs 22.50 crore net. Shows increased to 10,954 while occupancy jumped to 35%.

  • Day 3 (Sunday): This was the absolute peak of the opening weekend. Audiences flooded the screens across 11,481 shows. The film registered a massive Rs 28.50 crore net. Occupancy spiked straight to 44%.

The weekend total hit a brutal Rs 65.00 crore net in India alone. That crushed the opening weekend records of the first three movies in the franchise.

Then came Monday.

Facing the Monday Reality Check

Every big movie faces the weekday slowdown. The drop is inevitable. On Day 4, the domestic collection dropped down by 69.3% from the massive Sunday haul. The film earned Rs 8.75 crore net on Monday.

Did the team quit? No.

On Day 5, the project pivoted and recovered. The film brought in Rs 9.50 crore net across 11,077 tracked shows. People wanted comedy on a Tuesday evening. Night shows performed the best with 29.31% occupancy. Morning shows started slower at 9.31%, afternoon shows hit 19.69%, and evening slots reached 22.46%.

Wednesday brought the predictable midweek slide. Day 6 registered a 31.6% drop from Tuesday's recovery. The team brought home Rs 6.50 crore net across 11,137 tracked shows. Occupancy for the day averaged 14.12%.

The Global Scorecard

The domestic net total after six full days stands at Rs 89.75 crore.

But gross collections tell the real story of total revenue. Inside the Indian market, the total gross has pushed past the major milestone, hitting Rs 107.11 crore.

Now look at the international leverage. The global audience wanted in on the action too. The overseas gross collection added an extra Rs 1.25 crore on Wednesday. That moved the international total gross to Rs 17.25 crore.

When you combine domestic gross and international sales, the total worldwide gross stands at an incredible Rs 124.36 crore.

The Product and the Competition

The cast executed their roles flawlessly. Ajay Devgn led the pack with his signature deadpan style as Guddu Rastogi. Riteish Deshmukh returned with great timing as Deshbandhu "Lallan" Roy. Arshad Warsi and Jaaved Jaaferi brought back the classic Adi and Manav dynamic. Ravi Kishan and Sanjay Mishra added fuel to the fire. New additions like Anjali Anand, Sanjeeda Sheikh, and Esha Gupta completed the ensemble.

The plot stays simple. It is a chaotic treasure hunt. Critics gave it low ratings, but the paying public ignored the reviews. They wanted entertainment, and they bought tickets.

The timing is critical. Dhamaal 4 is rushing to maximize its theatrical footprint before Friday, July 17, 2026. That is when Christopher Nolan's massive Hollywood project, The Odyssey, releases in India. It will take a massive chunk of premium multiplex screens.

Meanwhile, another domestic title, Lenin, is making moves in its own lane. The project is showing strong legs and is rapidly nearing the Rs 50 crore mark at the domestic box office. The competition for audience attention is real.
